Prime Time
Writing in fright of fiery nights.
Apocalyptic code configured through television screens.
Blinking in between breaths of despair.
We're running rampant while our hearts explode.
Be sure to finish your fast food before it colds.
The gears of freedom are grinding us to pulp,
Fat, dumb, useless pulp.
Go back to sleep your opinions are now...
The property of the United States Government.
Awake to a flag that is torn and tattered.
By the spotlight that pierces the night.
Rinse your sins down your throat and read a book.
No. A quote from a clip in a magazine.
Your freedom of expression is useless,
When what you say is worthless.
When what your are is worthless.
What what you contribute, breed, acquire, posses is worthless.
Nightmares are now in plain sight.
Forfeiting creativity for our basic human rights.
