Over My Head

I never knew,
I never knew that things would ever end with you,
That my epitome of beauty would just say we're through,
On to a text, I tell myself it's for the best,
And that's how it's gotta be,
If this'll make her happy then I'll gladly leave
And sadly bring myself back to reality,
Why would a beautiful girl like that want me,

Everybody knows I'm in over my head,
I can't forget,
The times we spent crossing through my mind,
She's on my mind, she's on my mind,

December when,
I met a different girl then fell in love again,
To give her what she wants I twist, turn, and bend,
But in the end she didn't even feel the same,
I've lost confidence,
I know now there's no such thing as "just be friends"
And how all of these love stories are "make pretend",
Take away please,
All these painful memories,
...........
Now suddenly,
I'm becoming part of her past,
I'm becoming the part that don't last,
To you I was just another crush,
But I've had enough,
Of goodbyes, teary eyes, being hypnotized,
being hurt, and competing with other guys,
I'm in love and I want you to remember what I've said:
That everyone knows I'm in over my head,
And I don't regret,
The times I spent being next to you,
In love with you
