Out of The Rye

I am falling toward you
I tripped out of the rye
 Not destined to land
 Not scared to try
 And fall a little faster
To catch you as we drop
 To hold you once again
 Whether we're fallen or not
 But you fell out first
 And I'd always known
 That I couldn't make it
 In this world alone
 Without a body to meet
Around a turn in the field
 A kiss on the face
 Innocent, but real
Now I'm holding on
 To what I don't have
 Blind to the future
With my eyes on the past
I'm looking for something
 That I'm not gonna find
We never knew what we had
Until we fell from the rye
