out of spite

I turned out the light, called it a night,
forgave out of spite and wronged the right.

I closed my eyes, whitewashed my lies,
broke my ties as the birds darkened the skies.

There were others, like my brothers,
their mothers and those that blasphemy smothers.

So, I turned out the light, Closed my eyes
and there, there were others.

Those shadows that wrap themselves transparently and soak in
Those vacant spaces devoid faces, I have uncloaked them.
