One Moment

I walk outside, a bright beautiful day,
A flower I spot across the way.
So vibrant and colorful with what it has received,
Standing so tall, proud in what it has achieved.
The next day I walk out, the sky is so gray,
The flower has gone, wilted away.
Its color has left it looking pale and brown,
That proud smile it wore is now just a frown.
Only for a moment was its beauty brought to call,
Then taken away as if it was never there at all.
