On the Horizon

Jonathan Walker 1977 (South Africa)

On the horizon something is stirring
Breaking like dawn and heading this way
Like seeing with new eyes I look to the skies
Like never before I feel so awake

To the horizon everyone's looking
And desperately hoping for heaven to unfold
From this day no more crying, sickness or dying
No hearts will be broken on streets paved with gold

From the horizon someone is coming
Proclaiming aloud return of the King
All over the planet they gather to see it
Descending on clouds this dazzling being

On the horizon a multitude's rising
With new voices singing a song never told
From each tribe and nation the heirs of salvation
The true Word reveling his light to the world
