On resisting temptation

Evil spirits come to own me
to make me but their slave
tempting  my mind and body,
for its  to hell the road they pave,
And so I'll not ride down it
but resist with willful might.
My reward  it'll  later come
after I win this earthly fight.
You see  its Paradise I'm seeking
as are countless others,
so down its roadway I will travel
in company with saintly brothers.
