On airs

Putting on my saintly airs
To stand amid the cheers
Dare not show the slightest sign
Of being less divine
Sitting in the upper seats
Emitting Royal Mystique
Doesn't matter that I'm not
Here I play the part
Words of honor granted me
Being the 1st Lady
Anon behind the doors
A commoner once more
Cannot flaunt this common part
Be too much a shock

I am a nurse and a mother of three grown children. I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager. I love expressing myself on paper. I am a pastor's wife. We pastor a small church in Media, Pa. We are presently debating with a group of people on U-Tube who say that the world will end on May 21, 2011. Our U-Tube channel is, pastorBillandDesi more…
