On a Tuesday

I’ll remember the day
The people complained
Their flights were delayed,
When their children were whining for supper.

As a tired young woman
Aches for a night
Off from the flights,
A good friend says she will help her.
A good friend says that she will help her.

Hours pass slow
On a Tuesday that grows
Into the day I will always remember.
Then comes a voice on the line
That lent a chill to my spine,

And I knew that the plane was falling.
I'll always know the plane was falling.

I started to cry,
Thanked God I was alive,
And prayed for a woman's friend
Who worked on that plane in September.

I worked morning and night
When a woman's friend died
In a plane on a normal Tuesday
In September.

I worked morning and night
When a woman's friend died
In a plane on the Tuesday
You'll always remember.

On a Tuesday that you will remember.
On a Tuesday you'll always remember.
