Off To See The World

He set off to sail the sea and left his love behind.
She set off to fix some tea.
and let her dread unwind.
He found exploit everywhere and had a wondrous time.
She found reason for despair
and this became her crime.
He won medals in his name and proudly wore the gold.
She won pity for her shame
and felt her blood run cold.
He met people of like mind and made many a friend.
She met her sad double bind
and murk made her pretend.
He grew weary after days and wanted to come home.
She grew dizzy in her maze
and soon began to roam.
He returned to share his tale and renew former trust.
She returned to simply bail
and display her disgust.
