Hi my name is Allen and I'm 25. I've been writing for years now, it's always been a passion of mine. For the longest time I hid it, not thinking it was any good or that I could even publish a book, but that changed, quickly.I started late into my eighth grade year writing short stories, and it soon became something more than just a way to kill time in the drab and dank life that was school to me. It became my thoughts, my observations, my hopes, my dreams, and my aspiration to inspire others to open themselves up more and see the world around us, to see something that maybe they never did before, to FEEL something they never did before. That's how it became poetry.They deciding moment that this was something I was capable of, and actually loved doing was well into high school. In tenth grade I had written a short story about an amazing new Earth that I had always dreamed of. Naturally everyone was curious when they would ask what I was writing and I just said "nothing much just a story." So one day I showed it to a couple friends who loved it, and began talking about it.My teachers then asked me if they could publish it in the school paper, which I was very reluctant to do, but in the end said yes. To make it short, everyone who read it loved it, and ever since it has been my mission to change the world for the better through my own experience, emotions, my voice, and my pen. I now give this gift to you, to open yourself and your mind even more, and feel like you've never felt before, to laugh, cry, shout, and love like you have always wanted to.
