Nagoya

Such a genuine smile--your whole family
I feel as though I am more than a guest
With mournful tears--I left feeling like
I was your son. An unbearable parting
I long for that rice paddy--I even
Wish I could play with your true son
Though all he wants is to touch the
Ceiling of this cramped, but lovely and
Very much a warm, apartment. Though
The yard is like Van Zant's worst nightmare
I pray the Lord never takes me away
And though I cannot here dig, that is
Without a jackhammer--or a sledgehammer
It is here, in this land of history
Romance and intrigue
I bury my American
Heart.
