My Bleeding Past

my emotions come at me
like a brick wall, knocking over
whatever life i had managed
to create, the pain making
it hard to breathe, my soul
getting weak, wanting to
grasp my feelings and run
to a place that is without
you, knowing what you
could possibly do to me,
one kiss, one touch,
one smile, or glance and
i'm instantly entranced
to you it's nothing, just
something in the past, but
to me it's everything, it
reminds me of what didn't last.
