My Angel In Disguise

An angel in disguise
Appears on my doorstep
She stays so I feed her
I keep her outside
She stays for a month
So I let her in
I walk her
And Love her
I name her
Sparky
A name
That rings in my ear
And one night at a party
She spots a little fence
Little Sparky Jumps the fence
And runs so far away
For six monthes she's gone
And I mourn my loss
I figure she must be dead
Sometimes I cry myself to sleep
My family gets orders
We have to leave
In just two weeks from now
And still my little angel gone
So I pray to get her back
But now I get a phone call
They say they have my dog
I see her so big and she runs to me
As I look into her beautiful eyes
So soulful they see right through me
I hug my little angel and cry
I love her so
My little angel in disguise
We've moved to Germany
And I still love her
Some may see her as a mutt
Some could see her as a pest
I know though in my heart
That under her fur and skin
Is the soul of an angel
You can see it in her eyes
And I love her so very much
My angel in disguise
