Manic

I want to be anywhere but here,

Carried by a kite

or a river free and running

In the wind or water

far from where I am

Climb a tree and not come back

Scale a moonlit mountain til I reach the top

and dive into nothing

Fall from sky or heaven into hell,

just to not be here

Crash against the rocks

like rip-tide waves

or drift into the clouds and float away

forming faces as I go

Into the sunset,

after the stars,

brilliant in the dark.
