lust

You remember the butterflies in your tummy
when life became everything but boring
you remember the first kiss
her lips so soft
with body you thought you could die for
and so with poetic lines flowing you lied more

building castles of gold in her head
about the future that with her you would spend all

but after one too many sexual intercourse
your eyes opened up

and suddenly she is nothing like what you have wanted
her soft lips now feels like worn out sandals after long walks on many streets
because with your tongue it you have totally exploited

her once curvy body that to you was a mystery
now becomes fingertip arithmetics
because even when you close your eyes her intricate body part
you can now draw by heart

and what ends this once upon a time sweet story that now turns bitter
is the heartbreak that suddenly hits her

no thanks to the power of lust
you willingly gave into.. and sowed all that was love's seed not on fertile ground
but on dusty hills
making your promises like dead leaves be blown away by the slightest breeze
and now the trees in her you have planted are bound never to burst into sweet fruits of patience kindness and friendship
because now all she sees with her teary eyes when she looks at you is a monster with teeth gnashing
