Lonely Fox

The hunter lounges around,
The fox gets chased by a hound,
The hunter looks in his sight,
The fox runs with all his might.

The hunter calls off his dog,
The fox runs into a trap in the fog,
The hunter laughs with great glee,
The fox tries to flee.

The hunter shoots,
A hawk swoops,
The foxes misery has ended,
The hawk swoops but the fox is defended.

The fox is now on the wall,
The hunter sits proud and tall,
The foxes spirit cries in the night,
The hunter enjoys the pelt on that stormy cold night.
