Jewelled Moments

Decorated malice; saturated
with twitches of barbaric reflection,
psychotic wisps grip inhumanity,
I slide the knife across your delicate
throat while laughter urges voices within.

Anguish leaps from those colours that swirl fear,
blink again please? I love that surprised look!
Your performance represents death's encore,
for you're most definitely not the first
to taste this sharp-edged beautiful jagged
blade with its sense of history; jewelled
moments which scrape across the future's winks.

Capture these features as the moon waves light,
remember my grin on your trip to hell,
your appearance will not shock those demons
who wait to bounce that hot spirit inside,
though tomorrow in the cold dawn's wisdom,
a jogger, I hope, finds it gut wrenching.

Come now, do not cry sweet crocodile tears,
it does not become you for I know life
loomed quite heavy above that wrinkled brow,
take it like a man and whimper no more.

Perhaps I will remove an eye before
it is time for me to quickly slip to
the invisible nods of this hunger,
or maybe that delicious tongue which lolls,
waiting for another breath that'll not
come on the wings of a poem's recital.

Goodbye my dear friend, it was nice to make
your acquaintance under the night's blanket.

~~~
With a silent shocked look which roamed my eye
I gurgled blood to the night's solitude,
moments of yesterday flicked sighs across
the cool light of the stars; trickled magic.
Opened by his knife; a favourite book,
a page that is looked at time and again,
I find myself a victim after all
the quiet strength pushed into love's wonder.
It just goes to show how another's mad
world can interfere with one's own lifestyle.
Moonbeams swung on fear's delicate struggles
while hot wild breath caressed my cold features,
words are spoken but I pay them no heed
as my spirit lets go and flies into
the unknown's fluttered frontiers with regret.
