Here in this World

Robotic vices clamp my dormant body,
suspending me from my embryotic womb.
Oxygen starts to choke me, I vomit the plasma substance.
Freeing my lungs I start to breathe, my body shakes and shivers.
My eyes burn from the blinding light.
The metallic smell of blood lingers in the air.
I feel something moving down my spine.
Snip, they've cut the line.
I wiggle now in a cocoon of warmth.
I sob, scared from this intrusion.
A panic scream leaves my lips, I have a voice, I am alive, here in this world.

Christopher Thomas White

My name is Chris, I like being called Caution but I'll answer to either..I'm 30 yrs old living in AZ, I love writing poetry and music. I play guitar and have recorded so if anyone is interested in my music check me out on reverbnation.com/cautionx10x .I started taking music seriously in 2010 and perform weekly at open mics. I've been writing poetry since the age of 15 so I've had time to grow as a artist. This is a great site to express yourself with liked minded people so I understand why I'm here in this world. more…
