Happy 6th Anniversary

To My Wife on the occasion of our sixth Anniversary,

Spending the last six years of my life with you has been, to say the least, a journey. A journey that I will never forget, a journey that I will always remember, and a journey that I will forever be grateful for!

To say that you complete me is untrue, for I was more than just incomplete without you.

To say that you are my better half is no...t enough, for you are far beyond better and more than half.

To say that you are all I ever wanted is wrong, for you are more than I ever dreamed possible.

To say that you inspire me is too little, for you challenge my concept of what I am and am not.

I know that six years is far from a record of longest marriages, and that six years is hardly enough time to see all the depth of your heart and mind. But, six years with you feels like an eternity that only Heaven may someday rival! At times I forget that the Pearly Gates even await my arrival, because I cannot imagine that there is anything more than your love.

I know that I may not always act or show you, every moment of every day, how wonderful I feel having you as my bride, but I am afraid that if I show my joy to the world, that I may lose you. For our “God is a jealous God…” and I am certain that he made a mistake by giving me such a perfect mate. How could a man as lowly as me ever find enough favor to be granted a woman as extraordinary as you?

I know that someday he will take you from me, and the toll of it rest upon my every other moment. What will become of the pauper made a prince by princess' love, if that princess is not to be found again? So, please forgive the scowls that cross my face time and again; I just find it hard to believe that anyone can be as joyful as I am, and I am hoping upon hope that I never awake to find that this was just a dream!

However, if this be only a dream, what a dream it is! Bless me with sleep eternal, six years counting, and a lifetime to go! I love you now and forever, mother of my children, holder of my heart… Thank you!!!
