Great Admiration

I have admiration for a great man
I am glad he took a stand
I know he's not now what he used to be
But he did many things for you, for me
I served under him and had no complaint
I did my duty even though I wasn't a saint
This gave me a chance to see who I was
To learn a lesson from my father above
He served his nation ever so well
He kept the peace, kept us from hell
He was a man that you could admire
He was strong even when he tired
Some people hate him to this very day
But he kept us free in his unique way
I have nothing but great admiration
For my Commander and Chief
