Forever

I still feel your breath on my chest -
back when you were sleeping beside me

I still feel your hands on my face -
that look in your eyes, warm, soft as can be

I still hear your voice in my ears -
those tender words, gently whispered

I still remember your beautiful smile -
in those moments of total happiness

I still smell your scent, fruity and fresh -
a sensation I will never, ever forget

I still feel your skin moved by my touch -
every goosebump I gave you, back than

I still have those dreams where we're close together -
united, as one, eternal embrace

I always will love you - against all advice -
my heart, soul, and life - all in your hands

I died that day I had to leave -
that day when you told me "it's over", "we're done"

I am still dying, slowly fading, drying -
but my love for you will survive - FOREVER

I know I will not...
