Few Worries Come True

We worry about weather: will we have sunshine?
Are we on a tether? Are we out of line?
Of many worries few come true; in a thousand, one or two.
We worry about vigor: will we have long life?
Are we getting bigger? Are we making strife?
Of many worries few come true; in a thousand, one or two.
We worry about justice: will we have our day?
Are we a fine buttress? Are we in the way?
Of many worries few come true; in a thousand, one or two.
We worry about neighbors: will we have goodwill?
Are we worth our labors? Are we overkill?
Of many worries few come true; in a thousand, one or two.
We worry about money: will we have enough?
Are we really funny? Are we merely fluff?
Of many worries few come true; in a thousand, one or two.
We worry about nothing: will we have regret?
Are we going to upspring? Are we here to fret?
Of many worries few come true; in a thousand, one or two.
