Father
Balancing on the side of a high ladder.
Skilled and strong
The nights are short, the days are long.
Unrelenting in the amount of shear will.
The focus of a human being so strong that,
the earth bends itself to him.
He presents himself to the gods with
humility reserved
only for the ones worthy of their presence.
This man mighty and great.
In the eyes of a man only now arriving at
the state.
Beautiful and graceful, with steel inside.
Proud and loving, and brave as hell.
I tremble at the thought of trying to live
up to this man I love so well.
Looking up as I have ever done.
The sky builds a holly hailo about his head.
I will work harder when he is gone.
for when rejoned I will bring honor instead.
