Contemplating the Waves

The push-pull of a white-capped surface
The water reflecting the boat's shadow
Dark surface ridges slapping
Against  its hull
The sea, formed by rivukets
From a stream
Miles and miles away
That started as a drop, a trickle
Now sways the vessel
It is of no consequence
The night is calm
The moon glows
On the surface of the waves
That are endless
