Choices

Linda Parks Owens 1952 (Rockingham, NC) – 2012 (Rockingham, NC)

I remember and I hope you do too:
How wonderful it was
when our love was brand new.
Every second was precious and rare.
Our sweet love was beyond compare.
Time passed but we both held on.
We felt secure in knowing
our love was so strong.
Now we're older; our race is nearly run:
And we still love like we had first begun.
When I look back through all the years:
At all the laughter and also the tears.
There is just one thing that will always
hold true.
If I had to do it over again,
I would still choose you.
