Changing seasons

Crossing yet another bridge,
Standing next to the pond,
With leaves falling next to footsteps
Printed on the soggy land,

The changing seasons bring a new day.
Life moves on, in another way.

Nothing stopped..
Except for thoughts stuck on bated breath,
Life just went on,
With every beat of the heart.

Has time been my best friend ?
My shadow explains
As the sunset moves the golden orb again.

Its reflection blooms fully in the sky
As changing seasons leave time
And space paints itself in the rain.

People, places and relationships change
With the changing seasons.

The moments gone are not mine
Any longer,

They never were.
