Canst Thou Love Again

Canst thou love again
How can thee love again after
all the heartache and pain one
has caused to thee
Oh, if I could only take away the
pain with one sweet gentle kiss.
Would thou be satisfied with that?
But how much satisfaction can one gain
from a kiss meaning to take away the pain
My heart yearns for a love I had once before
One that was as sweet as yours
For I have wronged thee once before
and maybe more but
Canst thee find it in thou heart to forgive
For without thy forgiveness I can't bear to live
All I ask from thee is "Canst thou love me again?"
For that will be when my true happiness can begin.
