Bridges To Cross Or Burn
Mickey-Mouse watches give perspective to time:
most urgent moments have no reason or rhyme.
When in a hurry the lines chosen are slow:
there's a wait problem all the places you go.
Rush hour traffic is an oxymoron:
crawling a snail's pace, the conclusion's foregone.
Knowing which bridges to crossover or burn
makes all the difference when there is no return.
You could be dancing to a speedier beat:
the years are fleeting as you're moving your feet.
The past is enhanced by memory's account:
events are filtered in content and amount.
Human life cycles parallel with the clock:
every heart's beating, a pendular tick-tock.
