Bitter Sweet Sorrow

I listened to a tape
Of my Mother singing tonight
Such a beautiful thing
To hear my Mama sing again.

Such sorrow it brung to me
As I heard her voice once more
The pain and hurt it renewed
I miss my precious Mother so !

It is a joy to have her
voice singing on tape
But sorrow it brings to me
As I listen to the songs she sings, and wrote.

I still miss my Mother so
I will see her again , I know
Because up in Heaven above
She still sings of GOD'S Love!
