I've never felt the purity of content
I've never learned to live, not just get by
I've found what I seek
Wasn't meant to be me
I'm trying to learn to just get by
So I shed these feelings inside
Smile the best I can with a goodbye
My temple of solitude
Still needs my attentive heart tonight
So I wish you the sky
Filled with the home that you know
I'm just sorry I can't shine
With the rest of the what matters

As I bid her my final goodbye
Smile the best I can with what's dying inside
I know you'll be fine
As this epiphany refuses to go away
