...in the News
Don't tell me what everybody in the world
Knows about him. I know enough.
Tell me, instead why everybody in the world
Seems to give a hoot...good or bad.
The "man in the mirror" is exactly
Who he is: a reflection, or more aptly,
An impression. (The real man wears a mask, and
He wears it to hide his ever changing face.)
The man away from the mirror
Is a child who lives in a world of
Fun and fantasy--in a land not so,
So far away. A kingdom--really, because he
Is a "king" in his own right...in his own mind.
And as a king, naturally, all his children
Bear titles of royalty attached to their names.
Now, he wants his untold millions of subjects
To know that he still reigns supreme.
In his own mind? Or in their dreams?
What he really wants the most is to be left
Alone. Doable? The answer is...in the news.
