Heartache

I feel very bad. For have i smothered love, not allowed it to breathe, attempts to contain , when all It wanted was to be?

Or did Love want to be guided, witnessed and nurtured. Revered and acknowledged?

Directed on a path for which it could continue to expand and flourish- with a few gentle nudges, from the wind and the rain, the sun and the soil, the creatures  that breathed LIfe into it-
All giving and sacrificing a part of themselves, so that It may grow in joy and wonder...

The love that is allowed to take its own course, spreads thin, directionless, aimless

Seeping into the cracks, soaking into the soil, like a desert
Gone, evaporated, forgotten.
