kentucky gentleman

comprehensively there isn't much that i can do
but listen to my own heart beat

i wouldn't say i'm feeling strongly either way

if you want i could come over to your place later

i was thinking maybe later today

if you're looking for somebody to talk to
well i'm here but I might not stay all day

i was sort of waiting for you to get lost

like a blind man trying to lead astray the sighted

hoping blindly that my victim would fall into a ditch

chasing me to help me some way

if you're thinking that i owe you some favor
don't stop listening to me that way

i know there is something good we must glean
from time's preventing us from before

but now i've got you into some strange fate
when crystal's like the sheen of this door
glass or perhaps imaginary
boundaries between us
