Poisonous Love

Cheyenne Seaman 2003 (Philadelphia)

I communed with the devil and talked to God.
I walked with the sinners: ran where angels trod.
I've been through a Hell down here on this earth.
When I get to Heaven, it'll be a new rebirth.

I see your eyes, boy, they shine so bright
Like a star in the open night-time skies.
Eighteen. heading for the U.S. infantry
But boy, you don't know just how much you mean to me.

I see the blue of the sky, the green countryside.
Ya pull on my heart like the moon on the ocean's tide.
Like a snake's venom, you're poison to my heart and soul

Four years is but a day in the eyes of True Love
Be it a match made in Hell or Heaven above.
