Miles Between

The current distance between us
feels like we are miles apart.
You've taken my love for granted
you had my heart right from the very start.
I know you're filled with emotions
but don't misplace the ones you had for me.
Once overjoyed with my presence
now you can't stand the very sight of me.
What happened where did we go wrong?
Where has the love you had for me now gone?
this is hard and it's killing me
I cannot take it I can barely breathe.
I'm stuck in an ocean,
I've been swept up by the strongest tide.
I'm drowning in sorrow,
there is no shore for me in sight.
I always thought we would always be
forever and always times infinity.
Don't know where this is headed,
there's now new life that you are carrying.
So regardless of what happens,
that bond between us will always be.
Wish I could travel inside your mind,
I wish you could see thru my eyes
Maybe that way it will all make sense,
as to why we are now on opposite sides of the fence.
Why am I the only one whose suffering?
these lonely hours while my hearts been yours for the offering.
What are my crimes? What am I guilty of?
for this conviction of losing your love.
