Inside Out

Sadie Colucci 1979 (Ny)

I stare out my window
Watching the snow gracefully cover the ground
All surrounded by white
Everywhere I look around

The beauty outside
looking from within
Like a metaphor for life
Seeing beneath the outer skin

Appreciating all the little things in life
Not taking anything for granted
Like watching a bird hatch in its nest
And seeing the mother take care of it

We often get absorbed in our every day lives
And cant even stop to take a breath
We need to remember to take care of ourselves
And realize we are worth it.
