The Girl and The fox

Tamara Parrott 2003 (Creston)

She walks through the forest, the crisp scent of leaves assaulting her nose
She looks left and right at the colourful trees
She sees a fox. They look at each other
Sleek, auburn coat
Piercing green eyes
Mischievous nature
The fox runs
She takes off after it, running through the trees, trying not to lose sight of it
She follows the fox to a pier. It sits still at the edge
She walks to the edge of the pier, sits beside the animal
They look at each other
The foxes green eyes
The girls blue eyes
They look out at the clear blue lake
The girl and the fox
