Convalescence

Today i lie awake and alive
Breathing the air from yesterday
The laughter that woke me
From the sad slumber
Rings in my ear aloud
A shrill call from memory strikes
It shakes my very being
Reminding me of the transience of peace as life itself is

Tomorrow i will wake into what
 is unclear
A bland morning grins
Its eyes piercing into my past
Pulls me by the wrist
Forcing me to take a stroll into the morrows i dislike

I lay awake for longer hours
Dismissing life and its stories
Waiting for the univited guest
That knocks me out of conscience
Then all shall rest and some at unrest will bother my soul.

When can i wake to the eternal mornings without uncertainty knocking at my door?
The little adorable dos and don'ts
Wont visit to spoil the dream at dawn and lull me more and more and more
When time cannot be measured forever will me more.
