Discombobulated

By: Curtis Carroll, 04/04/2020

Doing nothing is such hard work, so I pick up a book to read;
With a glass of wine in one hand, and a book in the other, I am happy indeed!
The book wasn’t that interesting, so naturally, I put it down;
Had another sip of the wine, while walking around.
My thoughts were discombobulated, I just couldn’t think;
Whether to exercise on my Total GYMN or have another drink;
For the life of me, I didn’t know what to do;
So, I began writing this poem, just for me and you.
Writing is my escape, when I am bored with the happenings around me;
I tend to isolate, and discombobulate while sipping a cuppa tea;
I miss going Upstairs to pester the girls at the bar;
Having a drink with friends before crawling back into my car.
Happy times again, will soon come, I am sure;
Otherwise, we will be discombobulated for evermore!

Note: Ran out of wine.
