Love and Fear

Nkay Ada 1981 (Nigeria )

My heart is racing with fear,
like I've got something to loose if I don't say something.
I wish I knew what that something is, I'd say it without hesitation.

I wish I knew what to say to keep you.
How I wish you'd be able to read a heart like a book,
I'd open mine so you read and understand how you make me feel despite the distance between us.

The fear of loosing you eats at me everyday,
But come to think of it, how can I be so afraid to loose you when I don't even have you?

Be rest assured you've placed a standard and going beneath will be a taboo.
So if I can't keep you, I hope someday I find someone who stands out and touches my heart just like you do, or maybe more
