Hear my whisper

It’s not a shout but a whisper
Trying to convince you to love me

I keep waiting for you to awaken
Before the fire fizzles out

I will not throw a single punch
In this fight for your attention

Hear the sounds of need and want
Impending it’s way through softly

There is beauty in the quiet and still
I am a whisper, a whisper is enough
