Alone In Isolation

I prefer to be alone,
Isolation is not lonely, it's peaceful,
I have friends anyway...
The voice at night that tells me I'm weak,
The voice in the morning that tells me not to bother.

Sometimes I pretend they are not there, and again I stand alone,
Peaceful,

Silence is it's own form of communication,
A magnificent piece of art that no one understands,
What is your interpretation of your own portrait of my life?

I will be the stranger you walk passed, the one you don't even notice,
The quiet introvert at the back of the cafe,
Burying my head into alternate realities, much better than my own.
.....
Yet I am the most beautiful soul that no one will ever get to see,
Fear has beaten me,
It is a voice, in the happiest place, singing,
Luring me into the devil's callused hands,

I hang here,
A frozen raindrop, waiting outside your window,
Forever on the outside looking in,
Until the day, your warm breath free's my soul,
And I fall to the ground,
Destroyed once again by the promise,
The promise that my lonely heart wouldn't be frozen forever.
