Virtual Reality Freak Show

I love to walk
Early when the frost
Is still white
On the ground
Sun yellow warms my back
I watch my breath
Float away over the
Pacific Ocean
That holds so many pictures
Of you and
I remember to touch the sand
To kiss the moon

Star Jasmine blooms
Perfuming the air
I breathe
But you are not here
My rose red
Moss green
Life growing on
Without you
I loved you
Like a fairytale fantasy
A hazy dream
Virtual reality freak show

I see you
Like last years bounty
Thanks
Giving way to
Feasts that lead to
Eventual famine
I should have never tasted
Your seedless melon
That would never fill this
Void
My black hole
Heart
