A lonely Wanderer's Tale
A Lonely Wanderer's
Tale
One day I wondered
Next day I wandered
I wandered looking for
I looked over hill then over dale
Upon foot over land
Upon water under sail
I wandered yes I did
I wandered to and fro
A wanderer am I
Just'a wandering I did go
I wandered through thick jungles I roamed the tall grass lands
I wandered over sharp stones and across scorching desert Sands
I wandered up an over sheer mountains
My body torn by wind driven hail
I wandered to the heart of Africa
On a horse three shades of pale
I wandered the seven seas
And five oceans under sail
Shore foot to planks I lived
A lonely wandering sailor's tale
I sailed yes I did
I sailed ebb and flo
A sailor am I
Just'a sailing I did go
I sailed the four compass points
I navigated the world around
I sailed up rivers to meet the lakes
my keel never running aground
I sailed across stormy oceans
My body torn by wind driven gail
I sailed around the Arctic circle
On a boat christened
A Leaky Pail
As I wandered
I wondered
I searched the seven seas and five oceans under sail
I climbed over mountains and sifted under then over every hill an dale
I wandered the land over on a horse three shades of pale
Then I navigated the whole earth around in A Leaky Pail
As I searched upon foot and I looked under sail
Alas finding only the words to spin and rythme
A Lonely Wanderer's
Tale
