A Cutters last stand
Cold & sharp & ever so thin;
Red no longer just deep within.
Years of pain & feeling so low;
A quiet river of guilt begins to flow.
The fast flooding current brings relief;
Warm waves of crimson wash away the grief.
On the edge of the cliff there's no turning back;
Plunging deeper into scarlet that has now turned to black.
Floating in the darkness of sweet release;
A numbing void finally brings peace.
