The writer: A soliloquy

Arvind

They think
that I purportedly
wrote those books:
Actually, they were fragments
already existing
which I tried to connect
and they got transfigured
and became organic wholes--
amusing me with the illusion
as if they were mine.
Thank God they, my readers
did'n think, were theirs writing
and applauded me
for things I did'nt do:
I never wrote those books!
