The Way
The Way
inside my mind there are certain traces, faces and spaces
filter through the ambiance of sought after space & time
eyes, hands & face
there is a reason why we cry in the pale moonlight with such a fright
a time well spent in thought breeds cadence to its taunt folly
we then pier beneath the skulls and crossbones
the timeless honey nectar left unaided frozem in time
such are these days twisted seven times in the wind
the sweet fragrance of heaven's granduer
perfumed on the promises of its cosmic tapestry
left an opened door by way to explore
these are desolate times
yet we settle for ill but faded rhymes
casualties are enormous for a stated cause that's atrocious
yet here I am again like a tiny bird on a wire
beneath the sod my transgressions are being fed
through the notion of mere laughter
prepared to face the great here after
shattered as if greased cemented zombies in their once excursion
heaven's door is exposed to the forbidden noise of its conquest
all of life is but a test
labor today to enter into his rest I must confess
Grace is sufficient when your faith is small
work the work that you have in you while it is day
night time comes and work ceases to exist
I exist as a vapor then am no more
lest I implore another opened door
Rain down upon my head mark the man willing to explore
inside my ancient gait make no mistake
a twist of faith
