Let’s elope (Rime Royal)
We love each other, so why should we wait?
Let us get it done - Love, we should elope.
This evening, tomorrow, just pick a date.
I’ve reasoned options and I’ve viewed the scope,
It can be judge, the pastor, priest, or pope,
But in the eyes of law become my wife;
Let us no longer wait to start our life.
Appoint me love; I want to be your prince;
With white dress worn, be my Cinderella.
I longed to marry with you ever since
The day you and I shared the umbrella;
That summer storm has really changed this fella.
A sunny day we met and I’ve been happy…
I cannot wait for you to MARRY ME.
Let it be we, our fathers and our mothers
To give their daughter, and for the remembrance
Such is essential, we need no others;
whose only purpose is that of observance.
And in God’s name, He will be in attendance.
I hold the seven tickets in my hand,
Say yes and on a paradise we’ll land.
With sunset coming, we declare our promise;
Veiled in the full moon and adorned by stars,
We will exchange our golden rings with kiss
And then we’ll dance to the songs of John Carrs,
And find ourselves in love’s melodic bars,
Then we will feast and journey unto bed
-A gracious sanction of one being wed.
With sleep or none, the sun will greet us in arms
For we will have shared love and you my name;
Adoration blooms in all of its charms,
As life shows signs that it will never same,
Towards unquenchable a love we aim.
On my heartbeat, I know we will not miss;
Let’s wait no more to share our special kiss.
