Mademoiselle Squelette
Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)
Mademoiselle Squelette !
Je la surnommais ainsi :
Elle était si maigrelette !
Elle était de la Villette,
Je la connus à Bercy,
Mademoiselle Squelette.
Très ample était sa toilette,
Pour que son corps fût grossi :
Elle était si maigrelette !
Nez camard, voix aigrelette ;
Mais elle me plut ainsi,
Mademoiselle Squelette.
J’en fis la bizarre emplette.
Ça ne m’a pas réussi,
Elle était si maigrelette !
Elle aimait la côtelette
Rouge, et le vin pur aussi,
Mademoiselle Squelette !
Sa bouche un peu violette
Avait un parfum ranci,
Elle était si maigrelette !
Comme elle était très follette,
Je l’aimai couci-couci,
Mademoiselle Squelette.
Au lit, cette femmelette
Me causa plus d’un souci :
Elle était si maigrelette !
Puis un jour je vis seulette,
L’œil par les pleurs obscurci,
Mademoiselle Squelette,
Cherchant une gouttelette
De sang très peu cramoisi :
Elle était si maigrelette !
Sa phtisie étant complète,
Elle en eut le cœur transi,
Mademoiselle Squelette.
Alors plus d’escarpolette ;
Plus un dimanche à Passy...
Elle était si maigrelette !
Sa figure verdelette
Faisait dire au gens : « Voici
Mademoiselle Squelette ! »
Un soir à l’espagnolette
Elle vint se pendre ici.
Elle était si maigrelette !
Horreur ! Une cordelette
Décapitait sans merci
Mademoiselle Squelette :
Elle était si maigrelette !
